KIM JOCELYN DICKSON grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, close to Lindbergh Boulevard. She graduated from Lindbergh High School (home of the Lindbergh Flyers) in the Lindbergh School District, and worked on the school yearbook, The Spirit.
She believes this immersion in all things Lindbergh may have predisposed her to a later interest in Anne Morrow Lindbergh, the wife of the famous flyer and hero, Charles Lindbergh. She came to realize Anne was a heroine herself.
Ms. Dickson graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia cum laude and later earned an M.A. at Princeton Theological Seminary. As a seminary student she became intrigued with the writings of Anne Morrow Lindbergh. While fascinated by the public aspects of Lindbergh's celebrated life, what really interested her was Anne's inner life and spirituality. After unearthing a body of work that was largely out of print at that time, twenty years of study and research followed.
Today Dickson lives in Southern California where she teaches and writes.
Gifts from the Spirit is her first book.
